Our Story
Owning a horse isn’t just a lifestyle or a hobby, it becomes your whole life. It’s all consuming. It’s a love and passion that cannot be explained to others.
No matter the situation or the circumstance we horse people always put our horses first. Whether it be the weekend, the middle of the night, an icy winter morning, sweltering summer evening or in the pouring rain, they are always priority. At EquinePro we share this passion and live by the philosophy that the horse will invariably come first.
As riders we understand that we each individually require something different from our horses. Whether it be racing, leisure riding, barrel racing, pony club, eventing or working cattle, their jobs very greatly. No two horses will ever be the same and neither will their nutritional requirements. This is why we have worked hard from the beginning and will continue to work to develop a variety of feeds to suit a range of nutritional requirements. From breeding, horses at rest to elite performance horses we have the right product for you. We also have a range of cleaned, cracked or stream rolled grains to feed alongside our equine mixers.
How it all started….
With over 40 years experience in the grain industry, EquinePro has an established history of providing quality products with superior service – quality you can rely on.
​Owners Darren & Lynne Frankling have been specialising in Equine Feeds since 2004 in their own dedicated equine manufacturing mill here in Koondrook Victoria. Being a family owned and operated business they pride themselves on excellent customer service and high-quality products.
​As well as priding themselves on producing quality products, Darren and Lynne are passionate about making their products competitive and cost-effective. They have worked tirelessly to set up a mill where all processes are completed inhouse. To compliment our mixer, they have also set up a stream roller and grain cleaner. This ensures only the best and cleanest grains are used in our EquinePro mixes.
Quality Assurance
At EquinePro we have scientifically formulated our diets using the latest research into equine nutrition and cutting edge ingredients. Our grains are sourced locally to GTA standards, and cleaned before processing, and any additives used are sourced from suppliers using industry recognised QA programs.
Our site is accredited under FeedSafe®, the quality assurance program of the SFMCA. This ensures all products are of the highest quality and standard, and gives you, the customer, the reassurance that our products will meet your expectations each and every time.

We owe everything to our customers and that is why we understand the importance of connecting with you on a personal level. Our customers and their horses quickly become a part of our family. We work hard to ensure each, and every customer can contact our nutrition team directly. We are available to answer all nutrition questions and help find the perfect feed for your horses. As you are part of the family, we love being kept up to date with all your horsey action whether it be progress photos or results from your latest competitions.
